European Athletic Coaches Association 2008
We have a highly committed, experienced and expert group of coaches at City of Norwich AC who are committed to giving their time and enthusiasm to coach regular sessions throughout the year. Across all disciplines, coaching underpins our award by England Athletics as Eastern Region Junior Club of the Year for 2007 & 2009.
If you or your child (minimum age 9) would like to join a coached group please email our Coaching Coordinator John Painter who will put you in touch with the appropriate coach. Places are not always available, particularly in the summer when demand is high. Please do not just turn up at the Sportspark without any prior notification hoping to join a group. Coaches will be preparing sessions and you may be disappointed. We are happy for you to come along to three sessions to see if you like it but after that you must become a member of the club - currently £20 annual membership for juniors and £25 for seniors.

Becoming a Coach - If you would like to become a coach we will help you - the club actively supports and encourages coaches in their development. Bursaries of up to 75% of the cost of coaching courses are available from Active Norfolk - please click here for more details and note that bursary applications must be submitted at least 4 weeks before your course is due to begin (there is no flexibility on this so please apply early). CoNAC will assist with the balance of your course costs providing you have applied for a bursary first.
Our Academy provides an ideal foundation for coaching the many different athletic disciplines and there are always highly experienced coaches willing to help you. You will learn skills that are applicable in lots of areas not just athletics and you never know where it may take you. If you want to learn about and play an active part in helping athletes achieve their potential why not give it a go?
Please email John Painter for further details.
