This two-lap 10k road race takes place on Easter Sunday each year. The event uses the Norfolk Ski Club as the race HQ and runs alongside Whitlingham Broad before taking a two-lap route along quiet roads through the centre of Trowse and close to Whitlingham Hall.
We went “paperless” in 2009 and a record entry of 438 runners registered online as a result. Following last year's heavy snow, this year we were treated to perfect conditions and a record 364 runners completed the course. At the front, Andrew Hennessy from Wells City Harriers recorded his second win at this event with a comfortable 33.09 ahead of Nick Earl (Reading AC) on 33.26 and Serpentine RC's Robin Tuddenham on 33.42. In the women's category, Helen Decker from Ipswich Jaffa tore away from the rest of the field to finish 8th overall with a new course record on 35.39. Please click here to read the race reviews.
Entry to the 2010 race is now open (minimum age 15 years) and will be online only - no postal entries and no entries on the day. Entry (including the online processing fee) costs £11 for members of affiliated clubs or £13 for unattached runners - please click here to register via the Runner's World website. Every finisher will receive a commemorative medal and goody bag. Please note that a condition of entry is your acceptance of the Race Rules - please click here to read them.
If you require any further information at this time, please contact Richard Polley or call him on 07767 205922. We look forward to seeing you at the Norfolk Ski Club on Easter Sunday morning - good luck!!
