This two-lap 10k road race takes place on Easter Sunday each year. The event uses the Norfolk Ski Club as the race HQ and runs alongside Whitlingham Broad before taking a two-lap route along quiet roads through the centre of Trowse and close to Whitlingham Hall.
The 2010 race reached its 500 limit with three days to spare and perfect conditions greeted the runners on race day. City of Norwich AC’s Nick Earl (pictured right) was a comfortable winner in 33.57 with Dominic Blake taking second with 34.37 and Dave Kesterton (Halesowen A & CC) a close third on 34.45. In the ladies category, Amy Whitehead from Sale Harriers Manchester took the honours in 36.35 with Ipswich Jaffa’s Natasha Belsom in second place on 39.04 and Amy’s sister Lucy Waterlow (St Albans Striders) third with 41.35. A record 424 runners completed the course - please click here to view the full results and here to read the race reviews.
This year’s race was sponsored for the first time by Wynsport - please click here to view their race video. And our official photographers were Espressivo Photography - please click here to browse through the photos they took on the day.
The date for next year’s Trowse 10k has been set for Sunday 24 April and details of how to enter will appear here soon. In common with all road races organised by City of Norwich AC, entry will be online only with no postal entries and no entries on the day.
