James Wray with javelin At City of Norwich AC we aim to cater for athletes of all ages, abilities and ambitions from age 8 years upwards. If you are interested in track & field then you’ve come to the right place. We have a wide range of expert coaches who will do all they can to help you achieve your potential.
Our Academy introduces those aged 8-11 to running, jumping and throwing with the emphasis very much on fun and participation. During the darker months, we take part in Sportshall athletics, while in the lighter evenings we use the eight-lane athletic track at the Sportspark.
All activities take place in accordance with UK Athletics’ Approved Code of Practice for track and field events - please click here to view a copy.
We make extensive competitive arrangements for all our track & field enthusiasts. Our junior athletes are respected members of the best club leagues in the country - our U13's, U15's & U17's enjoy top level competition in the Southern Premier division of the McCain Young Athletes League while our U20's compete in the Southern Premier division of the National Junior Athletic League.
In 2010 our senior men’s team is competing in Division One of the Southern Men’s League and our re-formed senior ladies team provides regular competition in the Southern Women’s League. We are also long-standing members of the East Anglian League which offers local competitive opportunities for all age groups.
