Volunteer

“Everyone can be great because everyone can serve” - so said Martin Luther King. And the dictionary defines a volunteer as:

1 - a person who voluntarily offers himself or herself for a service or undertaking

2 - a person who performs a service willingly and without pay

As a club, CoNAC relies heavily on the support and cooperation of volunteers. Without volunteers, we would have no club. We are developing rapidly and there are lots of tasks that need doing properly to ensure our club runs effectively and efficiently. Perhaps the first and biggest benefit people get from volunteering is the satisfaction of incorporating service into their lives and making a difference for others in their community. So if you’re a CoNAC member, the parent of a member, someone who loves athletics or perhaps someone who just wants to make a difference, we’ll be very pleased to hear from you.

Here are some of the roles that volunteers fulfil at CoNAC:

  • Coaches
  • Committee members
  • Event directors
  • Team managers
  • Officials - timekeepers, measurers, pit rakers, etc, etc
  • Social event organisers
  • Minibus drivers
  • Club kit manager
  • Website manager
  • 500 Club promoter
  • Road Race and Cross Country support staff - entries & results, car parkers, course marshals, water stations, etc, etc
  • Sponsorship manager

If you would like to play your part in making our club as successful as it can be, please contact Granville Courtnell or call him on 07799 697970. Thank you.
